Dear Sam Finley...
Tonight you climbed onto the dinner table, crawled across to me and tried to bite my arm.. all whilst screaming "NOOO!" Now, this may not sound amusing to the average person... but you know and I know that it wasn't a malicious effort. You were trying to get under Jack's skin. He hates when you scream or yell and nothing makes him more agitated than when you do so. You were also protesting my advances to feed you some chicken from my salad in the most adamant way a 19 month old knows how. You, my son.. are one force to be reckoned with. I often day dream about your future and what may become of your strong will and character. I cannot wait to see.
All My Love,
Mummy xoxo

Dear Sam Finley...
You may be the smallest in our home but you definitely have the biggest personality, attitude and appetite. Maybe that has something to do with birth order.. I don't know.. but you are an endless source of laughter and amazement, kid.
Today Daddy and I were doing some work in the office. It had been a few minutes of semi-silence in your room so Daddy went around the corner to see what was happening. There you stood on the top of the bookcase and Daddy's can of Coke was spilled onto the floor. How did you get up there, anyway? You are an amazing climber.
You also spent a great part of the afternoon letting Jack whirl you around in the spinning lounge chair. He would let you climb into the chair, take a seat, then he would spin you as hard as he could and stop you after one full rotation and jump into your lap for a hug. You would keel over with laughter every time he did this. Even on the 50th go.. there you were cackling away with Jack. I, on the other hand.. sat about 5 feet away watching every possible thing that could go wrong (sharp corners, head butting, lamp cords) and prayed that neither of you would injure yourselves. Thank the lord this one time you both left the scene unscathed.
You have also taken to screaming "Mommy quiet!" in your own little garbled, but understandable, way.. Thanks, Jack! Something about the intensity in your face just tickles me regardless of what comes out of that little mouth. You have been here before.. that is for sure.
